The City of Vernon (British Columbia, Canada) has launched a new public participation website that will encourage Vernon residents to provide input on key City projects and programs. This feedback will be considered by Vernon City Council as part of their decision-making process. Engage Vernon can be found at www.vernon.ca/engage or www.engagevernon.ca. The site will feature current engagement opportunities as well as past and upcoming projects.

The first opportunity for residents to provide feedback is on the 2018 Vernon Budget, in which participants can indicate whether they would increase, decrease or maintain proposed budgets for key City services. The 2018 Vernon Budget survey is open from May 1 – 31, and the results will be presented to Council for their consideration prior to the Budget Workshop and Strategic Planning Review on June 9. Other City projects will be added to the site in the near future.
