The Coordination Committee of the IOPD agrees July dates are not appropriate
The IOPD Coordination Committee has decided in a meeting last Thursday 26th March that, in light of the exceptional times owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 20th IOPD Conference needed to be rescheduled. The Committee cannot guarantee the dates in July offers favourable conditions for the meeting to take place in terms of public health and transport availability, among other reasons.
The 20th Conference will therefore take place in 2021 in Cocody, Ivory Coast, but specific dates remain to be determined. The IOPD will continue to work on the organization of the conference, and its new dates will be disclosed as soon as they are agreed.
The IOPD seeks in this way to focus on finding ways to overcome the current health and social crisis through the cooperation of cities and their communities. We would like to ask for our members' understanding regarding this decision, and regret any inconvenience this may cause.
