We are pleased to announce that the open voting to choose your favourite practice among the 40 finalists for the 18th IOPD Award 2024 "Best Practice in Citizen Participation" is available until 1 July at 12:00 GMT on the ParticipateOIDP platform, where you can also find the 127 submissions in the five categories of this edition with their respective fact sheet with translations available in English, French and Spanish.
To vote, you must first register on the ParticipateOIDP platform (registration link), where you can also ask questions and make comments about the experiences. As stated in the terms of the IOPD Award, to have a valid vote, you must vote for a minimum of 5 candidates.
We encourage you to disseminate the open voting phase among your contacts and discover these innovative experiences!
Once the voting period is over, the jury of experts will meet to deliberate on the winning practice, taking into account the result of the open voting. The practice with the most votes from the OIDP Community will be awarded at least with a special mention.
The 18th IOPD Award and the special mentions will be delivered to the local and regional government representatives at our 23rd IOPD Conference "Populist Threats: Building Democratic Resilience with Participatory Communities", which will take place on 17-19 October in Valongo. You can visit the official website of our conference for more information and to prepare your attendance. If you need a personalised invitation letter please write to oidp2024@cm-valongo.pt
