Choose the Best Citizen Participation Practice: Your Vote Counts!

The open vote for the 20th OIDP Award is available until July 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM CEST. You must select at least 5 candidates for your vote to be valid.

We are pleased to announce that an open vote to select from the 40 finalist candidates for the 20th OIDP Award 2026 for “Good Practice in Citizen Participation” is available from today until July 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM CEST on the Participate OIDP platform. Additionally, the platform features all 176 submitted applications across the five categories of this edition, along with their information sheets available in Spanish, English, and French.


How to participate?

To vote, you must first register on the Participate OIDP platform (registration link), where you can also ask questions and comment on the practices. As stated in the OIDP Award guidelines, your vote will only be valid if you select at least 5 candidates.

We encourage you to spread the word about the open vote and explore these innovative practices!

Your vote matters!

The practice with the most votes from the OIDP community will receive at least a special mention, and the results of the open vote will be taken into account by the OIDP Jury when selecting the winning practice.


OIDP Award Ceremony

The 20th OIDP Award and the special mentions will be presented at the 25th OIDP Conference, titled "Hope and Renewal in the Face of a Global Crisis of Democracy: The Future of Participatory Democracy from Local to International Governance," which will take place from 21 to 23 September 2026 in Kraków, Poland.
