Join The Hunger Project, in partnership with the UN
Democracy Fund (UNDEF) and Logolink - a global learning initiative for citizen
participation and local governance for the launch of the 2014 State of
Participatory Democracy Report.

(CSOs) from the MENA region as well as democratically fragile areas of Africa,
the Balkans and Central Asia to host multi-stakeholder focus group discussions

yielded shocking findings about which countries are truly a close second to
developed states in their local governance structures and active citizenry. We
look forward to sharing with you the new ranking of 52 countries' legal
framework and degrees of implementation of five key dimensions:
-Active citizenry
-Political decentralization
-Administrative decentralization
-Fiscal decentralization
-Multi-stakeholder planning
