We are pleased to announce the call of the jury that will deliberate and award the 9th Distinction for Best Practices in Citizen’s Participation, awarded annually by the International Observatory on Participatory Democracy (IOPD). This distinction rewards participatory experiences developed by local governments by their degree of innovation, social inclusion, and participatory success as a model for other local governments in the world. The Distinction will be officially delivered under the 15th International Conference IOPD to be held this year in Madrid (Spain).
The jury is composed of members of the IOPD:
- The annual presidency: City Council of Madrid.
- The Technical Secretariat: City Council of Barcelona.
- The Latin-America Regional Office: City Council of Porto Alegre.
- The African Regional Office: Enda ECOPOP (Dakar).
- And all the IOPD members who wish to join the jury.
We therefore invite you to join the jury of this distinction, which will allow you to know in detail some public policies and experiences that could be interesting for you.
As a juror you will have to consider the nominations and vote to choose the winning entries. Once decided the winner, we will ask you nor awake the winner until the prize will be delivered at the conference. As a juror you can’t submit application to distinction.
You can join the jury emailing oidp@bcn.cat before November 30.
