IOPD members can now comment on and vote for innovative experiences in citizen participation
We are glad to inform you the International Observatory on Participatory Democracy has received 39 candidacies from up to 17 countries for the 14th Award "Best Practice in Citizen Participation". In so doing, participants have shared their most innovative practices in democratic participation, setting an example to local and regional governments around the world.
Until 16th April, 2020, those members of the IOPD who are registered in the digital platform will have the possibility to comment on the proposals and pose questions to their authors. Members can also vote for up to 3 experiences to qualify them to the final phase, consisting of the candidates at the top 50% of the votes.
The International Observatory on Participatory Democracy thanks the local and regional governments which have submitted their candidacies and encourages all members to participate in this peer-review phase of the evaluation.
