The International Observatory on Participatory Democracy (IOPD) invites local and regional governments to submit their proposal for the 16th edition of the award. This Award is delivered annually to recognize successful experiences and public policies on citizen participation, community engagement, democratic innovation,  public deliberation and open government.

The nominations will be evaluated by an expert jury once they have passed a first evaluation stage by all IOPD members through the online platform PARTICIPATE OIDP. The purpose of this initial stage is, on the one hand, to give visibility to all proposals and, on the other hand, to collect the members' opinions on all practices submitted. 

The deadline for proposal submissions is 31 May 2022. Proposals may be submitted by mail to award@oidp.net in English, French, Spanish or Portuguese
