Who's presenting the candidacy?

The association Citizens Actors is a Tunisian association located in Menzel Bourguiba. Created on May 9, 2016. The association has 21 volunteers with a rate of more than 57% of women and 67% of young people. Its mission is: 
- contribute to raising citizens' awareness of their political and economic social rights and duties. 
- Contribute to the consecration of local democracy by adopting a participatory approach. 
- contribute to the activation of the role of civil society in the administration of local affairs. 

What's the experience about? 

We ran a municipal election for children between 9 and 12 years old. This initiative aims to consolidate the concept of local democracy in the minds of children aged 9 to 12 years. 

Why is it innovative? 

The process is identical to the real electoral process in all its details! 
The chosen children presenting, voting and controlling the process, ...
