What is "Imagine Vitry"?

This is an unprecedented exercise in which the mayor and his team invite Vitriots. The goal is to draw together the city of today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. To do this, Vitriots are invited to take stock and imagine together the future of Vitry.

Certainly Vitry already has experience of consultation. But here, it is not a question of coming to present projects to citizens and to collect their opinions.

With Imagine Vitry, the municipality proposes to change scale, having a global vision of the city, and to change the method by inviting the Vitriots to take stock together with each other, and to discuss collectively the future of the city.

For this, public meetings are organized throughout the city during the months of October and November, to which you are invited to come to express yourself, to exchange and debate, in the presence of elected officials who will listen and witness the debates.

Since the end of August, a team has come to meet citizens to inform them and begin the exchange.

The meetings will be held sometimes in unusual places, often in connection with the daily life of the neighbors, some totally accessible to people with reduced mobility. A sign language translation or daycare for children will be offered at certain meetings.

A 4-step approach

An audiovisual survey, “If I tell you Vitry” ..., carried out in spring: 600 vitriots contacted, 93 interviewed on the way they live their city and see it evolve.

Public meetings in October and November: citizens are invited to discover the audiovisual survey and react during a free exchange.

Proposal workshops in November: citizens are invited to come and share their ideas, make suggestions, develop together ideas and proposals for the city.

Restitution in December: the mayor and the municipal team will present lessons on the basis of what has been discussed and what citizens have expressed.
