Description

The Technical secretariat of the IOPD opens the call to be part of the jury which will evaluate the nominations for the 15h IOPD Award. The members of the jury will have to read and evaluate 15 candidates each (each submission has 4/6 pages of extension plus the annexes) during the months of July and August 2021.

About the jury in the terms of the award: "The Jury will be made up of 8-10 experts from around the world. The Technical Secretary will select the members of the Jury and will endeavor to ensure a gender and geographic balance. The names of the Jury members will be kept secret until the announcement of the results."

Requirements to be part of the jury:

• Have experience on the subject of participatory democracy, citizen participation, local governments, open government (in the field of academia, consulting, or administration);
• Be able to read in one of these languages: English, French, Poruguesse and Spanish (preferably be able to read more than one);
• Not having any conflict of interest with the local and regional governments that have submitted the nominations (Here you can check the list).
