Description

This year, 51 nominations were submitted and then evaluated by a jury of experts after having passed a first stage of evaluation by peers.

The jury decided that the winning experience was LIMA JOVEN ACCIONA, from the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima as a complete and integral strategy to promote the engagement of youth in economical, social and political life and its political accommodation through the institutional local democracy system.

A special mention was also awarded to five experiences that were highly valued by the jury:

• Ankara (Turkey): Citizens of Ankara Re-assemble!
• Göteborg (Sweden): Your Idea: citizens' budget in collaboration 
• Milan (Italy): Participatory process of the Air and Climate Plan
• Mexico City (Mexico): Social Canteen Programme - Community Canteen Modality 
• Rio de Janeiro (Brazil): Social participation for the elaboration of the Sustainable Development and Climate Action Plan
