The IOPD, in collaboration with the United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) Learning team, launches this Peer Learning Note #37 "Participatory democracy processes: Sharing pathways for co-creating cities and territories with the inhabitants." It is a special edition that analyses and compiles 15 cases of local and regional governments in four continents (America, Africa, Asia and Europe) and their experiences of co-creation with inhabitants through four mechanisms of democratic participation: Participatory Budgeting (PB), deliberative processes and citizens' assemblies, child and youth participation, and inclusion.
